  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (340g) chocolate chips
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup (40g) powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing!
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula until evenly distributed.
  7. In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  8. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop a spoonful of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Make a small indentation in the center of each dough ball.
  9. Fill each indentation with about a teaspoon of the cheesecake filling.
  10. Cover the cheesecake filling with a little more cookie dough, ensuring it’s sealed. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

Notes
