These Easy Buckeye Brownies perfectly marry chocolate and peanut butter, featuring a fudgy brownie topped with a creamy peanut butter layer and drizzled with chocolate. They’re a crowd-pleaser that comes together quickly and is sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  5. Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 15 minutes.
  6. While the brownies are cooling, in a mixing bowl, beat together the creamy peanut butter, softened butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  7. Once the brownies are cool, spread the peanut butter layer evenly over the top of the brownies.
  8. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
  9. Using a spoon or a piping bag, drizzle the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer.
  10. Allow the brownies to chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before cutting into squares.
