Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 15 minutes.
- While the brownies are cooling, in a mixing bowl, beat together the creamy peanut butter, softened butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Once the brownies are cool, spread the peanut butter layer evenly over the top of the brownies.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Using a spoon or a piping bag, drizzle the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer.
- Allow the brownies to chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before cutting into squares.
